avoiding a mess…

The top of my refrigerator is one of those places that accumulates junk. The seldom-used cabinet on top is very far back so there is plenty of room for things to gather dust. Play dough, extra plates, random Lego pieces. You name it and it has found a home there.
One of my methods for keeping a surface clean and free of this clutter is by filling it up and leaving no room for the extras. Over the weekend I decided to apply this method to my fridge. Everything came down and was put in its place. After I had a blank canvas to work with I shopped around my house for something to put there and found this.
I had bought the wooden structure a couple of weeks ago and the plants (plastic of course) were an IKEA find. I might add a couple of accents as time goes by but so far it is clutter free.
