Do you see the birch logs in the fireplace? I love how the ends are painted. This got me googling and pinning and searching since I have some
birch logs of my own...

I'm not sure I'd have the guts to paint the entire log. I'm not even sure I'd be brave enough to add a color to the ends. That doesn't mean I wouldn't stain the ends or apply some sort of finish. Baby steps.
